The world’s largest website about Henrik Ibsen is hereby re-launched with a new design, new address and new functionality. All previous content has been preserved, but the web pages have, in addition, got a search engine directly aimed at the National Library’s abundant Ibsen material. Here you find, among other things, books, newspaper- and journal articles, pictures, letters, and hand-written Ibsen manuscripts.
Henrik Ibsen works have been translated to 78 languages and are played in theatres in 90 countries. 106 years after his death, Ibsen still features everywhere, not just in theatres and in book-form, but also on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Spotify and iTunes, as a mobile app, in cartoons and computer games. Every year, Henrik Ibsen is among the world’s most produced dramatists. During 2012, 165 premiers of his plays were registered on stages around the world.

The website contains a calendar of events offering topical, up-to-date information about Ibsen arrangements taking place all over the world every day.
Ibsen.nb.no is the world’s largest website about Henrik Ibsen, both as far as the amount of information as well as the number of users are concerned. The web pages exist in three languages — Norwegian, English and German.
