Ibsen in contemporary pictorial art

Ibsen´s works are a constant source of powerful inspiration for pictorial art. Since Edvard Munch this tradition has not lapsed in any way - rather quite the reverse. Ludvig Eikaas, Håkon Bleken, Jens Johannessen, Ørnulf Opdahl, Knut Rose and Frans Widerberg - important living pictorial artists - all have in common the fact that they have used Ibsen and his works in some of their pictorial works.
